The Certificate in Nursing and Midwifery Prescribing aims to prepare nurses/midwives as independent prescribers enabling them to provide patients with effective access to medications, and expands the role of nurses and midwives in progressing the health care needs of the future.
A. Admission requirements:
The minimum entry requirements to the diploma in nursing and midwifery course (in service) shall be Possession of;-
i. Enrolled nurse (EN) with registration certificate and license to practice from Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council (TNMC).
B. Opportunities for carrier development.
After completing diploma program, the graduate will qualify to continue with other advanced nursing programs and therefore has an opportunity to channel to other advancements (if interested to do so). Depending on the program structure of your interest, you may join the following programs;-
I. Bachelor of science in nursing (BScN)
II. Bachelor of science in nursing with education (BScNE)
III. Bachelor of science in midwifery (BScM)
IV. Certificate in anesthesia
